Dr Theresa Bidwell

Orthopaedic Surgeon
Dr Bidwell is an Orthopaedic Surgeon from Starship Hospital in Auckland. As an MD she has travelled and worked in many parts of the world, including just having returned from working with MSF in Afghanistan.
An outstanding athlete she trains and competes constantly, specialising in ultra-distance competition and was a successful competitor in the 2011 Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii picking up an award in her age group.
Hand in hand with her passion for cycling she is a strong supporter of World Bicycle Relief, a non-profit organization providing access to independence and livelihood through The Power of Bicycles. Terri cites WBR as "her favourite charity".
In addition to being an accomplished mountaineer she also appreciates how modalities such as yoga and other functional fitness disciplines complement her training.
